Dr. SG SURYAH
A lawyer and company secretary by profession, writer by passion and a politician by destiny, SG Suryah is a young voice from Tamil Nadu who has dedicated himself to be in the service of the nation. He currently serves as the spokesperson of BJP Tamil Nadu. He has been in public life for more than a decade. He was inspired and influenced by the nationalist spirit and vision of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) and became a Swayamsevak since school. An alumnus of ILS Pune, he is also an International Arbitrator and a Member of Prestigious Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK. He is also the Managing Trustee of Sixth Sense Foundation, a non-profit working in education space. He is the Founding Director of Tamilagam Research Foundation.
He currently serves as the state secretary for BJP Tamil Nadu and also the person in charge for the Loksabha 2024 elections in the east Chennai district.
Born on August 4, 1990
Born on August 4, 1990 in Coimbatore in a traditional Tamil family. Suryah’s stint with leadership started very early with him donning the role of class representative right from grade 5 to 12. When he was in his 11th grade, he won the school’s student union elections and went on to become the Assistant School Pupil Leader. He also served as School Head Boy and was appointed as the School Pupil Leader when he was in grade 12. This stread would continue in his college as well where he would go on to become the Chairman of his department.
Joining the BJP
On his 18th birthday, Suryah joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a member. He was deeply inspired by the RSS and stories of nationalists like Veer Savarkar. His grandfather Ranganathan has been of great influence who himself was a nationalist.
2009 Lok Sabha Election
As a young boy on his 18th birthday, Suryah with his friends founded Sixth Sense Foundation, a youth led Non Profit & Non Government Organization working in areas of education & livelihood development. He also campaigned for the 2009 Lok Sabha Elections for BJP’s Coimbatore MP candidate GK Selvakumar. He came up with India’s first ever IT manifesto.
2011 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections
He was awarded the Best Outgoing Student from the prestigious PSG College of Arts & Science. In the same year, when he was just 20 years, he campaigned for 2011 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections for BJP’s Thondamuthur MLA Candidate Sridhar Murthy.
From 2012 to 2014
When he was 21, Suryah was invited by the then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi to join BJP’s Campaign Strategy Team. From 2012 to 2014 he worked as part of the team travelling to 12 states across India.
2015 BJP Campaigns Strategy
In this year, Suryah was part of Bihar Assembly Elections 2015 BJP Campaigns Strategy Team and Delhi Assembly Elections
2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections
He was given the charge of the Head of BJP Digital Campaigns & Strategy for the 2016 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.

2018 Going International
Suryah went as a Delegate to Israel on the invite of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel as a “Young Leader”. The same year, he was involved as part of 2018 Karnataka Assembly Elections BJP Campaigns Strategy Team.
2019 Official Spokesperson of BJP Tamil Nadu
Worked as part of BJP’s Digital Campaigns Strategy Team for 2019 Lok Sabha Election. He was incharge of the South Indian region. He was also chosen as part of the Indian Youth Leaders Delegation to South Korea sponsore by Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India.
State Secretary 2022
On 6th may 2022, He was appointed as the State Secretary since then, He has been the nightmare for the DMK party and consistently playing a pivotal role in exposing DMK’s false propaganda and election promises also, He was arrested by the DMK govt and served 15 days in judicial custody for exposing the double standards of Communists - allies of DMK party.
Loksabha elections 2024
Given his extensive expertise in election campaigns and social media strategy, he has recently been entrusted with an additional responsibility as the in-charge for the upcoming Loksabha 2024 elections in the Chennai East district.
